As the visual impression of "Miffy" marked in my early memory even before my long-term memories formed, this oil painting might sympathize with an iconic pop-culture appearance and reflect my nostalgia for childhood.
In addition, the days I created this painting coincided with a period of time when I was fully immersed in researching and writing an essay about Giorgio de Chirico's painting. So, the painting, both "consciously/subconsciously and intentionally/unintentionally," reflected my impression of de Chirico's treatments.
